When Billie Eilish accepted the award for Record Of The Year at the 2021 GRAMMYs for "everything i wanted," it was presented by Ringo Starr in an intimate event, marking the first GRAMMY Awards ceremony back after COVID-19. Competition in the category was tough, with Eilish up against Beyoncé, Black Pumas, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, and Megan Thee Stallion.
In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Eilish dedicated the award to Megan Thee Stallion — that year's Best New Artist — saying, "You had a year that I think is untoppable. You are a queen. I want to cry thinking about how much I love you," before inviting the audience to give Megan her flowers. "You deserve it, honestly. Genuinely this goes to her. Can we just cheer for Megan Thee Stallion, please?" Eilish also took home another GRAMMY that night for Best Song Written For Visual Media with "No Time To Die."
