Russian protest punk rock group Pussy Riot has today (Dec. 3) announced a headlining North American tour set to launch in 2020. The 19-date trek, running next March through May, will benefit Planned Parenthood, with one dollar from each event ticket sold going directly to a local affiliate of the reproductive health care nonprofit organization throughout the tour.

For the tour, Pussy Riot has partnered with PLUS1, the organization founded by former Arcade Fire touring member Marika Anthony-Shaw that works with artists to create and manage fundraising initiatives via a $1-per-ticket donation add-on.

Founded and fronted by Nadya Tolokonnikova, Pussy Riot first worked with Planned Parenthood this past July when the group performed a sold-out benefit concert in Birmingham, Ala., in support of the organization following that state's passage of strict anti-abortion laws earlier this year. Proceeds from the show also benefitted Yellowhammer Fund, which provides funding and help to Alabama women seeking care at one of the state's three abortion clinics.
In 2012, three members of Pussy Riot were sentenced to two years in prison after being found guilty of "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred" following an unsanctioned performance inside the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
