Kendrick Lamar won Best Rap Album for DAMN. at the 60th GRAMMY Awards. This marks the rapper's second career win in the Rap Album category.

The other nominees were Jay-Z's 4:44, Migos' Culture, Rapsody's Laila's Wisdom, and Tyler, The Creator's Flower Boy.

Marking Lamar's third release in a consecutive string of albums considered instant classics by his fans and critics alike, DAMN. charted Top 5 on the album charts in five countries, taking the No. 1 slots in both Canada and the U.S., while ultimately ending the year as the No. 1 album overall for 2017 on the Billboard 200 year-end chart.

Rolling Stone called the record, "a brilliant combination of the timeless and the modern, the old school and the next-level. The most gifted rapper of a generation stomps into the Nineties and continues to blaze a trail forward."

Along with Best Rap Album, Lamar also took home honors for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Music Video, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song at the 60th GRAMMY Awards, bringing his toal career GRAMMY wins to 12.
