Dan + Shay won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Speechless" at the 62nd GRAMMY Awards. This marks their second win across the country categories and second-ever win overall. The duo earned the GRAMMY for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 61st GRAMMY Awards for their hit "Tequila." "Tequila" was the most-Shazamed song at the GRAMMY Awards in 2019.
"Speechless" was featured on Dan + Shay's self-titled third studio album. It topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and peaked in the Top 20 of Billboard's mainstream chart. It's also been certified gold in the United States.
While accepting the GRAMMY for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney thanked their wives and family for inspiring the song while remarking what an amazing moment their GRAMMY win was for the pair.
"I want to like put my heart up to this microphone. You can literally hear it beating out of my chest right now. This is one of the coolest moments ever," Smyers said. "For us, man, this is an absolute dream come true. We've always dreamed of being up here on this stage, so thank you all so much for making this happen."
Their track bested fellow nominees Brooks & Dunn with Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Little Big Town, Maren Morris with Brandi Carlile.
