- Flume rose to the public conscious with his Top 20 hit "Never Be Like You" from his sophomore album, 2016's Skin, which reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
- Flume earned his first career GRAMMY win at the 59th GRAMMY Awards for 2016 for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Skin.
- Flume, aka Harley Edward Streten, took his stage name from a Bon Iver song of the same name.
